Can Human Consciousness be Transferred to Robots?
This is actually a frequently asked question today: Can a new human be created from scratch through the integration of artificial intelligence and robotics, given how advanced these technologies have become?
Most people would say no to this based on certain principles, that it cannot be created, but in my opinion, the answer to this question is actually like the answer to the problem of the first cause. That is, we have the technology required to do everything a human can do after birth, but the software knowledge required to transfer decision-making principles to a robot is found piecemeal among different engineers today.
We need to see if the cumulative knowledge of the world is sufficient to make this software, but in order to even try, all electronics engineers, software developers, and mechanics engineers need to build consensus and come together around a project.
If you like, I would like to share some of my ideas that I have reached based on the information I have acquired so far and that I consider important. By the way, I had prepared many projects on this subject before, but right now I am only going to make a general evaluation.
As you know, the technological infrastructure for the production of humanoid robots exists today, but a robot capable of making its own decisions completely independent of all algorithms, that is, a robot with a function of will, has not yet been produced. Actually, engineers have transferred the function of reason to robots, but they have not completely transferred the function of will.
Rather than having a specific method in this regard, if a diagram with all possible probabilities that come to mind is drawn first, and then discrete mathematics principles are applied in this diagram, each column of each row is marked with different characters, random selections are made for each row, each choice queue is coded for different robots, the decision tree is coded to a different function, the reason parameter to a different function, and if these functions are connected with switch-cases, a human-like organism can be formed.
So, when you think about it a bit, human creation is also similar to this. In other words, the function of fate is actually the diagram that contains all possible probabilities, the concept we call accident can be modeled as different choice queues for each human, and the software we are transferring to humanoid robots is the concept of reason in this model.
