The Expected Consequences of

the Expansion of the Universe and the Exhaustion of Time

It must have crossed many people's minds: if the universe is expanding and matter is instantaneously moving further apart, then doesn't the total gravitational force—and consequently the resultant force—acting upon any stationary object decrease at every moment? If it is decreasing, shouldn't a force equivalent to this diminishing force be added to every object? If this is the case, is this not the force that triggers the accelerating expansion of the universe?

In other words, if we continue this thesis, could the fact that all living beings will taste death be due to the inability to replace the resultant force lost within these living beings; could what we call death be the exhaustion of this resultant force in living organisms?

Let us leave it at these questions for now and try to answer them as best as we can. It is a fundamental, widely accepted fact that the universe is expanding with acceleration, and the knowledge that the net resultant force on objects within the universe will decrease as it expands is a simple deduction that can be reached starting from this premise.

However, in this scenario, an equivalent force component must be added to replace the lost resultant force on these entities, neutralizing the effect of the counter-directional net force. This equivalent force component can be none other than the force that drives the accelerating expansion of the universe.

While the cessation of life can be attributed to many different reasons, the fact that every living being will taste death cannot be reduced merely to dry accidents, wars, diseases, etc. That is to say, even if none of these were to occur, a living being would eventually lose its vitality over time. Similarly, inanimate objects wear down over time without any external influence, and more strikingly, there is a term that has entered daily parlance: to wear out (eskimere). Now, what does it mean to wear out?

It is used to mean aged, having a peeling surface, etc. So, why is the frequency of the word "aged" (yıllanmış) higher than "spoiled" (bozulmuş)? Is it perhaps because of the resultant force issue mentioned at the beginning of this article?..
